Refund Policy
At Submyt we strive to provide an accurate and reliable Capital Gains Tax service and we hope that our service exceeds your expectations.
However we understand that there are circumstances where you may wish for a refund so we have endeavored to create a fair and transparent refund policy for you
For subscriptions
14 day cooling off period
- You may at any time cancel your subscription with Submyt Tax Limited within 14 days of payment. We will process a refund based both on the services you availed of and costs to us which will be charged.
Auto renewal
- Annual renewals will process on the same calendar date upon which the subscription was previously initiated only one year later.
- Refunds on auto renewals have the same 14 day cooling off period and the same refund amount limitations apply as per a new subscription
Based on usage and licenses
- Examples of incurred costs that limit refund requests;
- Licensing fees to third party providers
- Administration costs such as form submission, collection and filing
- Professional fees such as calculations and specialist consultations.

Successful refunds
- You will lose access to our future pricing model (grandfathering) and will be limited to up to date rates should you return to us.
For previous years accounts
Pre-Filing Stage:
- If you are not satisfied with our capital gains tax calculation before we proceed with filing, you may request a refund of up to 30% within 7 days of receiving the calculation. This is to cover the cost of calculating your obligations, licensing with third party providers and administration costs.
- Refunds will only be granted if we have not yet filed your tax return with the Revenue Commissioners.
- If you have assigned us as your agent but have not received a calculation, we will refund you for unused services and charge only for costs (administrative and licensing) incurred.
Post-Filing Stage:
- Once we have submitted your tax return to the Revenue Commissioners on your behalf, we are unable to offer a refund. This is because our service has been fully delivered with your previous consent and cannot be reversed.
Errors or Discrepancies:
- If an error in calculation is found that was due to our oversight, we will review and rectify the issue at no additional cost. However, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund;
- Please email support@submyt.com with your name, reference number, and the reason for your request.
- Our team will review your request and respond by email within 5 business days.
- Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 10 business days pending an outcome.
Non-Refundable Circumstances
Situations where a refund will not apply;
- If incorrect or incomplete information was provided by the client, leading to an inaccurate calculation.
- If the client changes their mind for any reason after the tax return has been filed.
- If the refund request is made beyond the 7-day window from receiving the tax calculation.
